|Competition||Hertfordshire County Challenge Cup|
|Royston Scorers||Matt, Jordan, Jake, Owen|
|Man of Match|
A stunning last four minutes of this cup tie saw Royston score 3 times to turn a 3-1 deficit into a deserved victory and a place in the third round at home to Borehamwood.
The Crows took and early 2nd minute lead when Matt Brennan converted a fine team move. The pitch was terribly heavy underfoot and it was hard for both sides to play any attractive football.
Royston continued to create chances throughout the half but were un done with three through balls finding the Hatfield pacey forward who converted each time. Jacob Leighton came closest to scoring when he hit the crossbar.
The second half was literally encamped in the Hatfield half and Royston were continually denied by good keeping, desperate defending and some near misses.
With moments left in the game Jordan Hall struck direct from a corner kick and straight from kick off Jake Booth ran through on goal to smartly shoot wide of the keeper and into the net.
With the game in injury time another quick break saw Owen Bentley round the keeper and his pull back was converted by a back tracking defender. Overall a stunning recovery so late in the game and a ‘never say die’ attitude got its just reward
